The transparent 10-stage process, explained
Every deal on Online Asset moves through the same ten stages, in the same order, described with the same words inside your deal room and on our public process page. Here is the map.
Key takeaways
- There are exactly ten stages, and every deal follows them in the same order, no hidden steps.
- The words describing each stage are identical in the public page and inside your live deal room.
- You can always see which stage your deal is in and what the next action is, for you and for the other side.
- A named advisor accompanies both parties at every stage.
Uncertainty is what makes a deal stressful: not knowing where you are, what happens next, or who you are waiting on. Online Asset answers that with a single, visible process that every deal follows. Ten stages, same order, no surprises.
What follows is the map. For the full description of each stage (the same words you will see inside your deal room) visit the process page linked at the end.
Inquiry
A buyer expresses interest and the conversation starts. No confidential information is shared yet.
NDA
The buyer signs a deal-specific non-disclosure agreement to protect the seller’s information before anything sensitive is shared.
Access granted
With the NDA signed and an access grant issued, the buyer can view the confidential dossier for this deal.
Due diligence
The buyer verifies financials, traffic, and legal standing using the data room and questions in Messages.
Offer
An offer is on the table. Each side can accept, counter, or decline until both agree on a price.
Letter of intent
The agreed price and terms are recorded before the final contract is drafted.
Escrow
The buyer’s funds are secured with a neutral third party before ownership changes hands.
Sale & purchase agreement
The binding contract of the transfer is reviewed and signed by both parties.
Transfer
Ownership of the assets (domains, accounts, code, contracts) moves from seller to buyer, confirmed item by item.
Closed
The deal is complete: ownership has transferred and funds have been released. Deal documents stay available in the data room.
Same words, in-app and in public
We publish the exact stage descriptions on our public process page and show the same ones inside your deal room. Transparency is the point: you should be able to read the whole process before you sign up.
At every one of these stages, your named advisor is accompanying both sides, telling you what the stage means for you, what the next action is, and stepping in to help when you want them to.
