Saving listings and staying updated: watchlist and notifications
A step-by-step guide for buyers on Online Asset: save listings to your watchlist, review what you saved, and read your notifications so you never miss deal activity.
Key takeaways
- Your watchlist keeps saved listings in one place so you can compare and revisit opportunities later.
- Saved searches sit at the top of the watchlist and tell you when new listings match your criteria.
- The bell icon in the top navigation shows a red count whenever you have unread notifications.
- Notifications cover deal activity like dossier access, new messages from a seller, and fresh matching listings.
- Use the All and Unread filters, plus Mark as read, to keep your notifications tidy.
When you are browsing online businesses on Online Asset, you will not want to chase down every promising listing right away. The watchlist lets you save listings to review later, and your notifications keep you posted on what is happening across your deals. Together they help you stay organized without checking the marketplace all day.
This tutorial walks through two screens: your watchlist of saved listings and saved searches, and your notifications feed. Follow along in order and you will know exactly where to look and what each button does.
Step 1: Open and review your watchlist
Click Watchlist in the top navigation bar. The page is titled Your Watchlist, and it is where you keep listings you want to track as potential acquisition opportunities. At the top, under Saved Searches, you will see any searches you have saved (for example, a SaaS listings search). Each saved search shows the date you saved it and a note that Online Asset will notify you when new listings match, so you do not have to keep re-running the same query. Use the Remove button on a saved search to delete it.
Below your saved searches is the list of saved listings. Use the search box to filter by name or category, and the Sort by menu (set to More Recent here) to reorder them. If you have not saved anything yet, you will see the message No saved listings yet, along with a Browse listings button that takes you back to the marketplace. To add a listing, open it while browsing and use its save control; it will then appear in this area. To drop one, use the Remove option on the item.

Step 2: Read your notifications
Look for the bell icon at the top right of the navigation bar. A red badge shows how many unread notifications you have (three in this example). Click the bell to open the Notifications page, which lists recent activity on your deals and account. Here you might see items like Dossier access granted (you now have access to a specific confidential dossier, such as the Content Website Finance dossier), New message from the seller, and a note that new listings match your interests.
Use the All and Unread buttons to switch between every notification and only the ones you have not opened. Each unread item has a small dot and its own Mark as read link, and the timestamp (such as 13 min ago) tells you how recent it is. When you are caught up, click Mark all as read to clear the count on the bell. Reviewing this feed regularly is the simplest way to keep pace with your deals as they move through the stages.

That is the full loop: save what interests you to the watchlist, let saved searches surface new matches, and check your notifications to act on activity as it happens. With both in your routine, you will always know where your deals stand.
